I have always been passionated
about making and collecting washi dolls ever since I was a
little girl. Over the years I had the opportunity to learn
the washi ningyo arts and crafts from well known teachers
in Japan. Some of my washi doll collection will be showcase
in this site. I have taught washi doll making arts at home
and art studios throughout California Bay Area for many
years.
I have been encouraged by my former students, family and
friends to capture the detail steps on how to make washi
doll the traditional way. I have simplified the doll making
process by introducing custom made kits, along with detail
video and picture instructions. This is my attempt to
introduce the beautiful Japanese arts to a wider audience
through WashiDoll.com.
